Let's Talk Fashion By Sarah Wheeler

There are thousands upon thousands of creative and unique shoes out there, but last week we found an individual who takes fly footwear to a whole new level. The limited edition Jeremy Scott sneaks are decked out with a metallic silver finish and super cool wings that are attached by the laces. This sensible design also provides lots of versatility. The wings can be removed if the consumer desires, laced onto a different pair of shoes for contrast, re-arranged for a more asymmetric look; the creative possibilities are endless.
These retro shoe by Adidas are given new life by a Fashion Design I student by the name of Deontè Turner from Bryant High School. His classic dark-wash jeans and v-neck sweater look is vamped up by the addition of these highly exclusive sneakers which reportedly cost the steal-deal price of only $180; a low price for even widely available Adidas sneaker. Only the true shoe connoisseurs would know that such a shoe even exists, let alone know where to look to acquire them, but Deontè Turner knew that special-ordering this distinctive shoe from the Adidas store would be a worthwhile pursuit. This shoe is also available in metallic gold and downy white, the latter being the top choice for rapper Kanye West as seen below.
He decides to complete the retro look with a high-gloss 80’s style ski jacket in keeping with his uptown bad-boy look, rather than the more traditional, but still hip style of Ms. François’ 1st period student. With his trendy spin on more archetypal styles, Mr. Turner seems more than ready to prove that he does indeed have what it takes to make a name for himself in the highly competitive and fast-paced but marvelously prospective world we call the fashion industry.
